What does home mean for Asian Americans? California hip hop duo Magnetic North teams with New York City’s own Taiyo Na and comedian Tina Kim as they seek an answer to this question through comedy, hip hop, and spoken word.
Magnetic North and Taiyo Na explore the Asian American experience through their own version of hip hop that emphasizes organic beats, irresistible melodic hooks, clean timbers, and engagingly rhythmic vocal performances while comedian Tina Kim skewers the Internet, dating culture, and Asian and female stereotypes through hilarious personal narratives.
The show will be on Thursday, October 28, at 7:00 pm in the Charles B. Wang Center Theatre. Tickets are $35 for VIPs (reserved priority seating), $20 general, $15 seniors, and $10 students (20 percent discount given to groups of five or more).
