Graduate Student Work on Display

Arrival esser 1

Work by five graduate students of fine arts will be exhibited in the University Art Gallery in the Staller Center from Saturday, February 6, through Saturday, February 27. A reception honoring the artists will be held on Saturday, February 20, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm.

MFA Thesis Exhibition 2010 includes kinetic sculpture, prints, performance art, and mixed media and electronic media installations by Joseph Andrew Esser, Julianne Gadoury, Kristine Granger, Elizabeth Dee Heifferon, and Danielle Rago.  All five artists are degree candidates in Stony Brook’s Department of Art’s Master of Fine Arts program. The exhibit is accompanied by an eight-page catalogue that includes reproductions of each artist’s work.

The University Art Gallery’s 2009-2010 exhibition schedule is made possible by a generous grant from the Paul W. Zuccaire Foundation. Additional support for the MFA exhibit has been provided by the Friends of Staller Center.

University Art Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, from 12:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and Saturday, from 7:00 pm to 9 pm.

Admission is free. For more information, call the Gallery at 632-7240.
