A seasonal tradition at Stony Brook, the annual holiday concert will feature members of the University Orchestra, vocal soloists and conductors in a performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, December 8, at 3 pm in the Recital Hall at Staller Center. Admission is free, and vocal scores will be available for purchase for $10 at the door. Choruses from Part One, Worthy is the Lamb/Amen and the Hallelujah Chorus will be sung by the audience. The University Orchestra’s Brass Ensemble will give a preconcert performance at 2:45 pm.
Solo vocalists will include Eunbi Cho, soprano; Ju Hyeon Han, soprano; Alexis Estrada, soprano; Monica Sciaky, mezzo-soprano; Lucas Rena de Souza, tenor; Daniel Nwatu, baritone and Shaun Moyles and Dallas Garvin, bass. Conductors are David Davani, Susan Deaver, Malinda Haslett, Mikael Darmanie, Zachary Gursky, Mohit Mansukhani and Dallas Garvin
