Members of the University Orchestra, vocal soloists and conductors will take part in a seasonal tradition at Stony Brook with a performance of Handel’s Messiah on Sunday, December 2, in Staller Center’s Recital Hall at 3 pm. Admission is free. Vocal scores will be available for $10 at the door. Choruses from “Part One, Worthy is the Lamb/Amen” and the “Hallelujah Chorus” will be sung by the audience.
The University Orchestra’s Brass Ensemble will give a preconcert performance at 2:30 pm.
Solo vocalists will include Eunbi Cho, soprano; Jina Nam, soprano; Marie Cushmore, mezzo-soprano; Emma Chylinski, mezzo-soprano; Dallas Garvin, tenor; Daniel Nwatu, baritone; David White, bass and Bryan Murray, bass. The conductors are Hyewon Kim, Susan Deaver, Greg Mulzet, Zachary Gursky, Mohit Mansukhani and Dallas Garvin.
