Annual Italian Cinema Festival, October 29-30

Italian film fest

The Center for Italian Studies at Stony Brook University in collaboration with the Associazione Culturale Art Media (Rome, Italy) presents “Italy on Screen Today/Wind of Europe” to promote Italian contemporary cinema. The program includes five recently produced Italian films (all with English subtitles) with remarks and introductions by representatives from the Associazione Culturale.

The Festival is Saturday, October 29, from 2 pm to 8 pm, and Sunday, October 30, from 2 pm to 8 pm in the Charles B. Wang Center Theatre. All screenings are free and open to the public. For more information, please visit www.stonybrook.edu/italianstudies.

2 pm: Welcome from the Center for Italian Studies
Remarks from Artistic Director Loredana Commonara, Wind of Europe Project, Associazione Culturale Art Media, and Festival Associate Giacomo Rocchini

2:30 pm: Veloce Come Il Vento
A film by Matteo Rovere with Stefano Accorsi and Matilda De Angelis

4 pm: Le Confessioni
A film by Roberto Andò with Alexei Guskov, Connie Nielsen, Daniel Auteuil, Johan Heldenbergh

6 pm: Gli Ultimi Saranno Ultimi
A film by Massimiliano Bruno with Paola Corellesi, Alessandro Gassmann, Fabrizio Bentivoglio
