Why I Give: Nora Boujida ’14

I am investing in Stony Brook with a monetary gift because it is the least I can do to show my appreciation for the wonderful educational experience I had there. Maya Angelou once said, “When you learn, teach. When you get, give.” This has been a quote I aim to live by, and this includes giving back to my undergraduate school. I hope that my gift will help make a difference for bright students that are struggling financially. I also hope that my donation can help fund student resources, like new classrooms or study rooms. Giving back to Stony Brook makes me feel great because it makes me realize how much I grew from my experience there. It also makes me feel proud to know how much I appreciate my school. The advancements that the University has made are truly inspiring and I hope to continue to support it in any way that I can.
