The Spring 2022 issue of Stony Brook Magazine is now available online. This issue is particularly exciting because it pays tribute to some of our outstanding alumni.
Climate adaptation specialist Michael McCann ’15 and high school biology teacher Rebecca Grella ’12 are fighting on the frontlines to save our environment. Artist Krystyna Printup ’09 details how her culture and Stony Brook have shaped her journey, sharing several paintings that celebrate the rich history of her Indigenous ancestors.
We also learn how Fulbright fellowships changed the lives of five alumni, including Luis Tobon ’17, who discusses his time teaching English to children in Ecuador and how it helped expand his teaching philosophy.
Enjoy these and the many other stories in this issue highlighting Stony Brook University faculty, staff, students and alumni who are changing lives and making a difference in our world.
