Students Shadow Alumni through ‘January Shadow Program’

32634526892_10835dcd97_zThe Stony Brook Career Center’s “January Shadow Program” gives students the opportunity to spend one day in the workplace during January intersession, shadowing hosts across the country in their career field of interest. The program drew 260 applicants, with 40 students being placed in 12 companies for a shadow opportunity over winter break.

The companies and alumni below hosted students:

  • CA Technologies Frank Loglisci ’07 hosted two students
  • Eleven Seven Music Group John Rosenfelder ’88 hosted four students
  • LaGuardia Community College/CUNY, Enrollment Management & Student Development Loretta Capuano-Vella ’84 hosted six students
  • NYS Unified Court System Daniel McLane, Esq. ’88 hosted four students
  • Pace University, Government & Community Relations Vanessa Herman ’94, ’08 hosted two students
  • SBU, Athletics Department Courtney Rickard hosted 16 students
  • Safe Horizon – Queens Child Advocacy Center Hilda DeJesus, LMSW ’07 hosted two students
  • Snapchat, Inc. Laura Jean-Hickey ’09 hosted two students
  • James Pierre-Glaude Physical Therapy James Pierre Glaude, DPT, ATC, CSCS ’06, ’10 hosted two students
  • US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) Nazmul Hassan ’00 hosted two students
  • Canon Tatiana Cruz hosted
  • Google, California location Madhava Srinivasan ’08 and Mallory Rothstein ’15 hosted two students
