Stony Brook University Seeks Ideas for What May Become First Public-Private Housing Development for Campus

Toll Drive Residence Hall is the University’s latest campus project to address the housing shortage.

In an effort to address the housing shortage on campus, University officials will post a formal Request for Qualifications with the state to create a public-private housing development — which would be the first of its kind on the 25,000-student campus. The “campus village” would be targeted to students and young faculty, and would create a safe, affordable alternative to traditional off-campus housing.
