Stony Brook is one of only two public research doctoral universities with a hospital that received the Overall Improvement award.

The Educational Fundraising Awards annually recognize exemplary development programs based on a blind review of data submitted to the CASE Voluntary Support of Education (VSE) survey. CASE member institutions that have participated in the VSE for the past three years are automatically considered. This is the second time Stony Brook University Advancement has been recognized in the Overall Improvement category.

“It’s a great honor to be recognized by CASE as a leader among our peer institutions,” said Deborah Lowen-Klein, Interim Vice President for Advancement.

“Our Advancement team works incredibly hard to support the great work taking place at the University and at Stony Brook University Hospital, from innovative research and world-class, compassionate healthcare to student support and education. Stony Brook University is a complex, dynamic institution that is constantly evolving, and we’re tremendously proud to play a role in its ongoing success.”
