Stony Brook University Appoints Four New Alumni Association Board Members

October 15, 2015 —  The Stony Brook University Alumni Association Board of Directors has appointed four new board members, announced Robert W. Stafford ’72, ’82,  Association President. The new board members, appointed to three-year terms, include two local business owners, a clinical forensic specialist working with domestic abuse cases and an early career development manager. They are:

  • Morgan Cato ’04, ’05 , Senior manager, Early Career Development, Human Resources, NBA. Cato earned her BS in Business Management and Master’s in Human Resources Management from Stony Brook. She has worked for various Fortune 500 companies over her 10 years of human resources experience, and she is a longtime chapter leader of the Black and Latino Alumni Network.

  • Robert Cuccaro ’96 , Owner of IntegraRisk Corp, NY, and Financial Advisor for Omnio Financial LLC. Cuccaro earned a BA in English from Stony Brook’s College of Arts and Sciences. Since graduating, he has had a diverse career in industries ranging from his family veterinary business to software sales, mortgage lending and ultimately owning his own business.

  • Hilda DeJesus ’07 , Clinical Forensic Specialist at Safe Horizon Queens Child Advocacy Center. DeJesus earned a BA from Stony Brook in both Psychology and Hispanic Language and Literature with a minor in Psychology, and is the first in her family to graduate from college. She has years of experience promoting Stony Brook through outreach at work, career panels and among family, and she actively participates in NYC Alumni Association chapter events.

  • Keith Kowalsky ’86, ’88 , President and Owner of Flame-Spray Industries, Inc.. Kowalsky earned a BE in Mechanical Engineering and MS in Materials Engineering from Stony Brook. In 2009, he was named National Inventor of the Year and was honored with a 2011 Stony Brook University Alumni Association Distinguished Alumni Award. He holds more than 18 US and foreign patents and has written more than 30 publications. He credits his days at Stony Brook with setting him up for personal and professional success.

“Hilda, Robert, Morgan and Keith proudly represent the growth and strength of our Alumni Association as we continue to deepen Stony Brook’s footprint both nationally and internationally,” said Robert W. Stafford, President of the Stony Brook Alumni Association. “Their commitment to the Stony Brook community and individual talents will ensure we continue to reach and serve our 160,000 alumni, increase alumni participation and support, and raise our rankings and national profile.”
