Stony Brook Athletics along with the Van Wagner Sports and Entertainment group have announced a one-year agreement with JVC Broadcasting, to broadcast Seawolves’ football games beginning in the fall of 2018.
“Stony Brook Football has established a strong legacy of success as Long Island’s only Division I program, and we are excited about the upcoming season and our partnership with JVC,” Stony Brook Director of Athletics Shawn Heilbron said. “This year promises to be one of the best ever for the Seawolves so whether fans are watching at LaValle Stadium or listening on 103.9 FM LI News Radio, they will be able to experience all of the energy of gameday.”
For the 2018 season, Long Island News Radio 103.9 FM WRNC will air all regular and postseason Stony Brook Football games. The broadcast schedule will begin when the Seawolves kickoff the 2018 season at Air Force on Sept. 1.
“I am very excited about the new partnership,” Stony Brook head football coach Chuck Priore said. “It is crucial for our exposure on Long Island to have a preeminent organization like JVC associated with Stony Brook football.”
“Long Island News Radio 103.9 is all about Live, Local and Community,” said Bruce Shepard EVP/General Manager of JVC Broadcasting Long Island. “A partnership with Stony Brook Athletics is a natural fit on a radio station that is dedicated to bringing Suffolk County listeners programming that is important to them. We look forward to a great season and fun exciting times on the airwaves and the field.”
