Senior Class Legacy Blog: Brody Hooper ’17

I received an internship in Athletic Marketing, which allowed me to create many new opportunities and helped build my passion for marketing and communications. This opportunity later helped in my being elected to the Undergraduate Student Government as its Vice President for Communications and Public Relations. Here, I grew as a leader and gained valuable experiences that shaped me into the person I am today.

In my role with USG, I was able to listen to my peers and actively worked to bring their voices to the forefront. Through their input, I was able to help make change on campus, from concerts with student-selected artists to helping achieve a 24-hour library. In this role, I also worked closely with administrators and campus leaders who demonstrated true pride and who have a desire and passion to make the University a better place. Seeing professionals care so much about making this University the best place it can be inspired me. I don’t want to just give back, I’ll continue working hard to make as much of a difference as I can before I graduate.
