Stony Brook’s School of Nursing Alumni Board sponsored the Alumnus Awards Reception at the Student Activities Center in March. Alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends gathered to honor two distinguished alums, Colonel Miriam Rosa-Cummo (’98) and Debra Sansoucie (’88).

Stony Brook University President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., M.D., was the keynote speaker. He spoke about the integral role of nurses in healthcare and honored Rosa-Cummo and Sansoucie for their exemplary achievements and noteworthy contributions to society.
