The Stony Brook Alumni Association will offer “Proper Documentation and Calculation for Physician Evaluation and Management (E/M) Services,” a professional development opportunity for physicians and medical office personnel. This course, which will be held on April 13 in The Wang Center at Stony Brook, will offer an overview of electronic records, coding and billing with Vanessa Lankford, CPC, CMCO, CMOM, AACE-CEC, who has over 23 years in the healthcare field.
Lankford has worked in both a hospital and physician office atmospheres as well as a third party insurance company and holds a national coding certification through the American Association of Professional Coders, as well as national certifications on office management and compliance through the Practice Management Institute.
