Three Minute Thesis (3MT™) challenges our senior PhD students to explain their dissertation research in a way we can all understand — in JUST THREE MINUTES.

26 PhD students from across the disciplines have entered Round 1.

Only eight will advance to the final round.

All Round 1 talk recordings will be posted and finalists will be announced by April 26 at stonybrook.edu/3mt

Nominations for the 40 Under Forty Alumni Recognition Program are now open. We are looking to celebrate our most noteworthy, innovative, service-orientated and entrepreneurially-spirited graduates.

Visit our 40 Under Forty website to nominate a graduate (who fits the 40 Under Forty criteria).

Nominations will be accepted up until end of business (EDT) on Monday, May 31, 2021.

The honorees of the 40 Under Forty alumni recognition program will be selected this fall.
