Introducing the Stony Brook MBA Alumni Network

Dear MBA Alumni,

Who you know is just as important as what you know. The Stony Brook College of Business has given you the knowledge behind your MBA, now the alumni want to give you the network to flourish.

What do you get from participating in the network?

  • Networking opportunities with other alumni and business professionals
  • Access to mentors, faculty and established professionals
  • Alumni job postings and referrals
  • Access to MBA students for internships, hiring and corporate projects
  • Invites to sporting and other campus networking events

Whether you are looking for a lawyer abroad or a business partner in Setauket, this is an exclusive group intended to create new connections, enhance your career prospects and provide opportunities.

What do we need from you? Get Involved. Tell us what you’d be interested in, fill out our survey, come to a meeting, or call me directly to talk.

I know what you’re thinking:  I don’t know anyone. Am I too late to join?  What can I offer?  I’m so busy.

Get Involved.  We’ve all lived the same experiences at the same school. (Which I bet you didn’t know has doubled its faculty since 2011, created specialized MBA and MS degrees and established the Innovation Center and iCreate Lab)  Now is the perfect time to take advantage of a network that can support you for the rest of your career and life.  The more you put into it, the more you will get out of it.

Sincerely,

Edward Fabian ’08

  • After 30+ years in Long Island manufacturing companies including a start-up, went back for my Stony Brook MBA full-time and graduated in May, 2017. I joined the Stony Brook Small Business Development Center as a Business Advisor specializing in Manufacturing companies (we facilitate connections to capital, university & industry resources, and support for start-ups and companies up to 500 staff) part-time and doing business development back in my previous industry (showcase and cabinet locks) of 26 years for Boa Security Technologies in Huntington. The Stony Brook MBA was a great update and retooling of my business skill set – also met great fellow students and faculty to stay connected with.
