Class of 1976 Reconnects at Reunion

Class of 1976

The School of Medicine Class of ’76 gathered for a reunion from April 30 through May 1. The weekend of events included a reception at Sunwood Estate (pictured above), home of Stony Brook University President Samuel L. Stanley Jr., MD.

Reunion architect and organizer Barry Newman, MD ’76, would like to thank all those who came back for this year’s reunion. He said, “The stories were often incredible and did not disappoint, and confirmed my belief that we were a really unique group of individuals. We had so much fun reconnecting after all these years, seeing what people had done with their lives and careers, and having the chance to remember and be reminded about stories from school days, some engaging and some very embarrassing. We are already starting to think about a next reunion!”
