Thank you for joining us Saturday, October 17 for Wolfstock 2015 and the Seawolves homecoming game against the Towson Tigers! There were nearly 1,600 attendees at the barbecue and a record-setting 12,177 fans packed LaValle Stadium to watch the game.
During the festivities, student journalists from WolfstockLive interviewed several alumni, including former women’s basketball player Dani Klupenger ’13, former Seawolves Football players Thomas Cassidy ’71, ’78 and Will Tye, marching band alumna Samantha Harwood ’14, and Distinguished Alumni Award recipients New York State Assembly Speaker Carl Heastie ’90 and Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory General Counsel Charles Ryan ’90. The interviews can be viewed online.
Alumni were active throughout the game, as well. Ashley (’09) and Tom (’08) Koehler, a pitcher for the Miami Marlins, were recognized on the field during the pregame ceremonies. During the second quarter, alumni fan of the game Roman Gorodetskiy ’09 — Director of Partnership Marketing & Business Development at Roc Nation Sports and Class of 2014 Stony Brook 40 Under Forty honoree — went out on the field to take on a student fan during the Alumni Challenge.
