Al Bello ’89—sports photographer for Getty Images and Stony Brook University alumnus—was recently named Pictures of the Year International’s (POYi) “Sports Photographer of the Year, First Place.”
POYi is a photographic contest dating back to the 1940s. Each year, the contest receives tens of thousands of submissions, all of which are reviewed by a panel of distinguished judges.
