SCL 2017 sizedThe Class of 2017 doesn’t waste time. Just before they officially moved their tassels from right to left, the graduating class gave over $15,000 in support of the Stony Brook Fund for Excellence and other critical initiatives on our campus. Senior Class Senator Jonathan Rodriguez ’17, member of the Senior Legacy Council, announced the Senior Class Gift during Stony Brook University’s Commencement ceremonies on May 19.

“We hope this contribution allows us to leave a living legacy at Stony Brook University and in the surrounding community,” Rodriguez said.

Under the leadership of the Senior Legacy Council, more than 500 seniors mobilized to continue the important tradition. According to Stony Brook Annual Fund records, this year’s gift marks one of the highest senior class gifts in recent history.
