PhD Candidate Interviewed by Association for Women in Science

Laiba bilalLaiba Bilal, a PhD candidate in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Stony Brook University, was recently interviewed by the Association for Women in Science (AWIS). Bilal is passionate about renewable energy, and she works at Brookhaven National Laboratory’s Center for Functional Nanomaterials to unlock revolutionary new technologies. 

In the interview, Bilal shares what inspires her most about her field, discusses how she re-entered her career after raising three daughters and explains why other women and girls should study STEM fields.
